UPDATE for August 9th — The Big Band Dance scheduled for August 9th will take place at the Centennial Arts Center in the Northeast area of Centennial Park.
Metro Parks Music and Creative Parks Nashville, with the support of Centennial Park Conservancy, is excited to return to Centennial Park this summer for the 2025 Big Band Dance Series! The community is invited to dance and listen to local swing and jazz big bands from June 7th to August 9th.
Please note that, due to scheduled park construction, this years location has changed to the Centennial Park Bandshell on the East side of the park, near 25th Ave North. In the event of rain, the band may get moved to the the Looby Theater for a concert (no dancing) style performance. When that happens, details will be posted on the Metro Parks Music Facebook page.
Free dance lessons will be provided by Dynamic Ballroom and Performing Arts at 7:00pm. Dance styles covered include Rhumba, Cha-Cha, Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, and Two-Step. The band show times start at 7:30pm. Please be sure to check the Metro Parks Music Facebook page for important updates regarding possible weather delays and cancellations.
There will be water and food trucks available along with Fratello’s Italian Ice and LoveFest Lemonade!
