Metro Parks Music and Creative Parks Nashville, in partnership with the Centennial Park Conservancy, are thrilled to announce the return of the 2026 Big Band Dance Series. This beloved summer staple officially kicks off on Saturday, June 13, inviting the community to dance and listen to the city’s finest swing and jazz ensembles through August 15.
Each evening is hosted by local legend and Master of Ceremonies Dave Eastman, who brings to the stage his signature charm, wit, and love of Nashville’s big band community. Whether you are a ballroom regular or a total beginner, the evening is fun for all ages:
- 7:00 PM: Free dance lessons provided by Dynamic Ballroom and Performing Arts
- 7:30 to 10:00 PM: Featured big band takes the stage for live music and community dancing
- Food & Drink: There will be food trucks and water available for purchase
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to construction during the Park Revitalization Project, the event will be hosted at either of these designated park locations: the Parthenon Ellipse or the Centennial Art Center.
